Set It Off’s ‘This Christmas (I’ll Burn It To The Ground)’ is reminiscent of The
Nightmare Before Christmas and is refreshing (if not terrifying!) A definite
highlight among the candycane-sweet efforts is New Found Glory’s ‘Nothing
For Christmas’. Its touching lyrics, coupled with jingle bells and a festive
acoustic riff can’t fail to bring on the Christmas cheer by the sleigh-load. The
Ready Set’s ‘I Don’t Wanna Spend Another Christmas Without You’ sounds
very similar, but introduces a horrendously catchy dance-beat that’s
guaranteed to be stuck in your head well into the new year. You have officially
been warned.
Overall it’s a great listen and a brilliant punk-influenced alternative to the
dredge of poppy Christmas tunes you’ll hear round your nan’s.
