Panic! At The Disco- Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die

THEATRICAL POP-PUNK STARS TAKE A NEW DIRECTION IN LATEST
OFFERING.PanicAtTheDisco_TooWeirdToLive

IT HAS never been like Panic! At The Disco (P!ATD) to do things by halves.
Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die has already caused a stir online with the
series of controversial music videos hailing from its’ singles. What is more
shocking than all of this though is P!ATD’s departure from their pop-punk
sound in favour of electronically-driven chorus that would not be out-of-place
on the club scenes. It sounds suspiciously reminiscent of Fall Out Boy’s latest
album Save Rock And Roll. While it still has the power and witty lyrics behind
it, it all feels very intrusive on their real talents. They’re fantastic musicians
without the tech-masquerade, so why hide behind that? Credit to them for
experimenting, it’s a great album overall, but a big adjustment for long-term
fans.
